Gym Timer Privacy Policy

Gym Timer is designed to collect as little information as possible. The app does not require an account and does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, health information, payment information, or advertising identifier.

Live Activities

When you use a timer with Live Activities, Gym Timer transmits limited technical information to its backend service so that the timer can continue to update its Live Activity while the app is in the background or suspended.

This information may include:

• a temporary Apple ActivityKit push token;
• a temporary Live Activity session identifier;
• timer state and scheduled timer transitions necessary to update the Live Activity; and
• technical information necessary to deliver the updates.

This information is used solely to provide Gym Timer's Live Activity functionality. It is not used for advertising, marketing, profiling, or tracking.

Active Live Activity session information is stored temporarily using Cloudflare infrastructure. Gym Timer deletes this session information when the Live Activity session is completed or otherwise terminated by the service. A maximum retention period of approximately 24 hours is applied to abandoned or incomplete Live Activity sessions.

Live Activity updates are delivered to your device using Apple's Push Notification service (APNs).

Local Data

Timer settings, presets, favorites and other app preferences are stored locally on your device unless a feature specifically requires communication with the Live Activity service described above.

Service Providers

Gym Timer uses Cloudflare to operate the backend infrastructure required for remote Live Activity scheduling and Apple Push Notification service to deliver Live Activity updates.

Cloudflare may process limited technical and network information, such as information associated with requests to the service, as part of operating and securing its infrastructure. Server diagnostic logs may be retained temporarily for operational and security purposes.

Advertising and Tracking

Gym Timer does not contain advertising and does not use the information described above to track you across apps or websites. Gym Timer does not sell personal information to data brokers or advertisers.

Data Sharing

Gym Timer does not sell user data. Limited technical information is processed by service providers such as Cloudflare and Apple only as necessary to operate the functionality described in this policy.

Data Security

Gym Timer uses encrypted HTTPS connections when communicating with its backend service. Live Activity sessions use temporary credentials to protect access to individual sessions.

Children's Privacy

Gym Timer does not knowingly collect personal information from children and does not require users to create an account or provide personal information.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated if Gym Timer's functionality or data practices change. The latest version will be made available at the Privacy Policy URL listed on the App Store.
